EXPATS & NOMADS · PERNAMBUCO

Réveillon Carneiros runs from 26 December 2026 to 2 January 2027 on Praia dos Carneiros, a palm-lined beach in Pernambuco, northeast Brazil. The day-by-day line-up is out, with Black Coffee, Michael Bibi and Gilberto Gil among the names.

Réveillon Carneiros, a New Year festival on Praia dos Carneiros in the town of Tamandaré, has published its full schedule for the 2026/27 edition. The festival runs for eight days, from Saturday 26 December 2026 to Saturday 2 January 2027, with five all-inclusive night parties and six sunset parties at a beach club.

For US readers the practical points are a Brazilian visa, a ticket sold in your own name and a drive of about an hour from Recife’s airport. Midnight on New Year’s Eve on the beach falls at 10 p.m. in New York, since Pernambuco runs on Brasília time.

Eight Days and 11 Parties on Praia dos Carneiros

This is the festival’s ninth New Year on the beach, after a first edition in 2017/18 and a pause during the pandemic. The organisers have themed this edition “The Eternal Now” and list more than 90 acts across the week.

The five Night Celebrations fall on 27, 28, 29 and 31 December and 2 January, each with its own theme and stage set. They include dinner from a buffet and an open bar, and the organisers add two smaller stages and a chill-out area to the main stage.

The six sunset parties take place at Mouton Beach Club on 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 December and 2 January. Food and drink there are sold separately, and there is no beach-club party on 31 December or 1 January.

A third area, Villa Mouton, holds the guest desk, box office, first aid, restaurants and shops. A Wellness Club runs yoga, ice baths, spa sessions and other activities from sunrise to sunset for holders of the larger passes.

Who Plays Which Night

Gilberto Gil, one of Brazil’s best-known singers, headlines the beach-club party that opens at 4 p.m. on Sunday 27 December, with Gilsons as his guests. The singer João Gomes leads the night party on Monday 28 December, and the pagode singer Thiaguinho plays the beach club on Tuesday 29 December.

The night of Tuesday 29 December brings the house acts ANOTR and Hot Since 82. On Wednesday 30 December the beach club runs until 2 a.m., with Mau P first on the bill.

New Year’s Eve, a Thursday, runs from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with Michael Bibi, a hybrid set by Monolink and a hybrid DJ set by WhoMadeWho. The week closes on Saturday 2 January with Jamie Jones at the beach club and a night with Black Coffee, Adriatique with Vintage Culture and Kerri Chandler.

Black Coffee is a South African DJ, and Vintage Culture is one of Brazil’s best-known electronic producers. The festival’s site lists Carl Cox, Solomun, Rüfüs Du Sol and the American DJ Honey Dijon among acts from past editions.

Passes, Tickets and What Is Included

The official seller is Ingresse, and the festival offers four passes plus single tickets that are not on sale yet. The Full Pass covers all 11 parties, the Night Pass covers the five nights, and the Night Combo covers New Year’s Eve plus two other nights.

The Mouton Pass covers the six sunset parties only and does not include the Wellness Club. Every ticket carries its own QR code, is issued in the buyer’s name and cannot be transferred, so buy in the name of the person who will attend.

Prices rise in lots, and Melhores Destinos reported on 5 October that the cheapest pass then was a women’s Night Pass at R$6,950 (about US$1,373). That conversion uses the Friday 16 October 2026 closing rate of R$5.06 per US dollar, and current prices should be checked on Ingresse.

Getting to Praia dos Carneiros

Praia dos Carneiros lies 90 km (56 miles) south of Recife International Airport, and the festival puts the drive at about an hour. Transfers are arranged through the festival’s official partners, and the festival does not list a price for them.

Lodging is also booked separately, through two partners named by the festival. Injoy Travel sells packages that combine flights, a place to stay and tickets, while Dmand Concierge offers houses, apartments and bungalows with transport, staff and catering.

Recife, the state capital, is the natural base for anyone arriving early or leaving late. Our guide to Recife this month, linked below, covers the city, and Réveillon Amoré in Maracaípe is another beach New Year festival on the same coast.

What It Means for You

US citizens need a Brazilian visa, and the State Department page checked on 19 October 2026 says it must be approved before departure. The same page asks for a passport valid for at least one month after entry and one blank page for each entry and exit stamp.

The State Department rates Brazil at Level 2, exercise increased caution, because of crime and kidnapping. For all-night parties on a beach an hour from the airport, a pre-booked transfer is the simplest way in and out.

Prices are in reais, so a US card is charged at the rate of the day, and the R$5.06 per dollar used here will move before December. Because tickets cannot be transferred, check your travel dates and the name on the order before you pay.

The countdown on the beach happens two hours before midnight on the US East Coast. Call home before the 8 p.m. start, since the New Year’s Eve party runs until 8 a.m.

What Is Not Known

Current pass prices were not displayed on the official Ingresse page when we checked on 19 October 2026. The release date and price of single-party tickets have not been announced.

The festival does not publish the price of its transfers from Recife or say whether a shuttle runs on fixed times. The official page we read does not state a minimum age or say whether foreign buyers need a Brazilian taxpayer number, known as the CPF.
