Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has injured his leg and shared a glimpse of the injury on social media, joking that he had taken the expression “break a leg” too seriously.
The actor, who has been celebrating the success of his latest film The Vvaan, posted a photograph on his Instagram Stories showing his leg fitted with a medical walking boot.
“I took ‘break a leg’ too seriously,” he wrote alongside a hospital emoji.
Malhotra did not disclose how he sustained the injury or provide further details about his condition.
The social media update comes days after Malhotra and his wife Kiara Advani announced that they were expecting their second child.
The couple shared the news in a joint social media post, writing, “Blessed once again with the greatest gift of all. Our hearts are so full of love and gratitude”.
Malhotra and Advani reportedly fell in love while working together on the 2021 film Shershaah. Malhotra portrayed Captain Vikram Batra, while Advani played his partner, Dimple Cheema, in the biographical war drama.
The couple married on February 7, 2023, at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. They welcomed their daughter in July 2025 and announced in October 2026 that they were expecting their second child.
Advani recently shared photographs from a family holiday with Malhotra and their daughter, Saraayah. While keeping her daughter’s face hidden from view, she posted glimpses of their beach outing, including photographs of the child’s feet and the family’s footprints in the sand.
