Deciding where to go out to eat can often prove challenging, but the Northern Suburbs Weekly has the inside scoop on the best spots to dine locally, according to residents.
Locals were asked where they love to eat in the northern suburbs, and they were quick to share their go-to favourites and sneaky hidden gems.
Sorrento-based couple Lyn and Gary Brown said Mia Cucina Italian Cafe has long been their personal favourite eatery when they venture into Hillarys Boat Harbour.
“It’s an Italian seafood restaurant, it overlooks the water over the marina and it’s lovely,” Mrs Brown said.

Young local mums Ella Nezich and Lola Artuso were out for a morning stroll through the park with their kids, and joked that they don’t often journey too far away.
“We don’t usually go too far - going to Nodes Park today was pushing it for us,” Ms Nezich, who lives in Mullaloo, said.
“We always go to Dropinz cafe in Mullaloo, we love them.”
Craigie resident Ms Artuso agreed, and said she also enjoys the neighbouring cozy dinner spot Woodfire Pizza.
“I think the same people own both - we’ll shout them out,” she said.
Hossein Bahrami lives out in Maylands but travels up to Hillarys Boat Harbour to run his small business selling souvenirs and trinkets.
He said it can be challenging to find decent halal spots to eat, and he often relies on the local Savour Kebabs shop for lunch.
“But a new place is opening soon in the centre opposite the pizza shop, they’ll serve dumplings. It will be interesting to see if that is halal, that could be my new favourite,” he said.

Set to open within the next few weeks, Noor will serve freshly steamed Afghan dumplings, handmade daily.
A bit further north, Gill and Bruce Calvart quickly named Chapters Bistro as their restaurant of choice when heading out for a nice meal.
“We love Chapters, it’s a restaurant in Currambine. We live up in Burns Beach, and we go there for dinner, it’s a really nice spot,” Mrs Calvart said.
The modern European bistro opened in 2018 and quickly became known for its weekly deals and tasty cocktails.
When asked if he agreed, Mr Calvart confirmed “whatever the boss says”.
