President Bola Tinubu has promised Nigerian youths prosperity and a better future if re-elected, urging them to support his administration’s second-term bid.
Tinubu made the promise on Saturday at the APC presidential campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna, where he appealed to young people to support his administration’s agenda of continuity, economic recovery and progress.
Addressing the crowd, the President said his second-term ambition was built around a promise of prosperity, urging Nigerians to give him another opportunity to lead the country.
“I come again to thank you for that again, to seek your mandate for the second time, to give a promise of prosperity, continuity and progress,” he said.
Tinubu specifically acknowledged young Nigerians at the rally, thanking them for their support and assuring them that his administration would work towards a better future.
“Our youth population, thank you. We promise you a better tomorrow,” he said.
The President also told young Nigerians that his administration’s second-term agenda would focus on prosperity, urging them to participate in the electoral process.
“To you, the children of our country, it’s a promise of second term prosperity,” Tinubu said.
He called on eligible voters to ensure they had their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the election, asking supporters at the rally to indicate whether they possessed the cards.
“Do you have your PVC? Do you have your PVC? Show your hand. Your hands up,” he told the crowd.
Tinubu also urged supporters to vote for the APC at all levels, including the presidency, governorships, the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly, saying the country’s future depended on their participation.
He thanked the crowd for turning out in large numbers and reiterated his promise of a better tomorrow under his administration.
