The Atlanta Dream are preparing for the WNBA Finals, but one fan says their merchandise barely showed it. In a video from the Nike Store at Lenox Square, Caitlin Clark gear appears prominently displayed while Dream merchandise sits off to the side.
“We are in the WNBA Finals, the ATL merch needs to be switched with CC,” the fan says. She then records herself leaving the store without buying any Dream gear. Her complaint captures a sharp contrast: Atlanta is still playing for a title, while Indiana’s season is over but Clark’s merchandise appeared to get the prime spot.

Atlanta has the better playoff run. Clark has the merch numbers
On the court, the Dream have earned the spotlight. They swept Washington in the first round and New York in the semifinals, reaching the Finals with a 5-0 playoff record. The Fever were eliminated by Las Vegas in a 2-1 first-round series.
In its 2024 impact report, published in March 2025, the WNBA said jersey sales had jumped 801% year over year and that Clark was the league’s top seller across Fanatics’ network, behind only MLB star Shohei Ohtani among athletes.
There are signs the Dream’s merchandise business is growing. Yahoo Sports reported that Atlanta ranked second in retail growth last year and among the league’s top five teams in overall retail sales. This season, the team partnered with Monarch Commerce to expand its merchandise operation and launch new apparel, including a Nike uniform and an Atlanta-inspired collection.
The display also appeared just after Nike launched Clark’s first signature shoe and apparel collection on Oct. 1. That timing offers a possible reason for the prominent Clark merchandise, though it does not explain the store’s decision or establish how its sales compare with Dream gear.
Atlanta has made the Finals, but a single store’s display reflects more than the standings. Product launches, inventory and customer demand can all shape what gets shelf space. The video can’t settle which team sells more, but it shows why the fan felt the Dream deserved better.
Game 1 of the WNBA Finals is Saturday, Oct. 17, with the Atlanta Dream visiting the Golden State Valkyries at Chase Center in San Francisco.
