Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition, has announced that a drone was intercepted and destroyed over Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
In a post on X early Thursday, October 15, Al-Maliki said an incoming drone had been shot down over the region.
He described it as an “incoming drone” but did not identify the country or area from which it had entered Saudi airspace.
In recent weeks, Saudi Arabia has faced missile and drone attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels.
Meanwhile, the Houthis have also claimed that they targeted a Saudi fighter jet with a missile over the Yemeni city of Saada.
