The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has visited Costa Rican President Laura Fernández during his stay in the Central American country for the National Crusade of Hope.
Adeboye disclosed the visit in a social media post on Tuesday, saying he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, during the meeting at the presidency.
He described the visit as an honour and an opportunity to strengthen relationships while discussing faith, hope, peace and the transformation of lives.
“It was a great honour to visit the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside my beloved wife @pastorfoluadeboye during the National Crusade of Hope,” he said.
Adeboye speaks on spreading gospel
The cleric said the Christian message transcended national borders, languages and cultures, stressing that the church remained committed to spreading the gospel across nations.
According to him, the mission of the church is to take the message of salvation to people across the world and inspire hope among individuals, families and communities.
“The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures. Our mission remains to take the message of salvation to every nation, trusting God to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities,” Adeboye stated.
He also offered prayers for Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, expressing hope that the country would continue to experience peace, healing and restoration.
“May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God,” he added.
Adeboye concluded his message with a quotation from Habakkuk 2:14, which reads: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
Photographs shared alongside his post showed the cleric with his wife, their son, Leke Adeboye, and other church officials.
Adeboye attends National Crusade of Hope
The visit came as part of Adeboye’s participation in the National Crusade of Hope, held at Costa Rica’s National Stadium in San José on October 17.
The event was organised by the RCCG in partnership with the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation.
It also featured Christian music performers Tercer Cielo and Averly Morillo.
The crusade formed part of the church’s efforts to spread the Christian message beyond Nigeria and engage believers in other countries.
