Uganda Waragi, in partnership with creative mastermind Josh SB, has officially unveiled the UG Yard Party, a multi-faceted entertainment experience aimed at redefining youth party culture in Kampala.
The event is scheduled for October 31 at the Kampala Rugby Grounds, formerly known as Legends, and will run from midday until late.
Speaking to the media and lifestyle content creators during a walkthrough of the venue, Roy Tumwizere, Uganda Waragi Brand Manager, explained how the UG Yard Party reflects the evolving tastes and expectations of modern Waragi consumers.
“Kampala’s nightlife is evolving, and the audience is looking for experiences defined by identity and participation. The UG Yard Party is a direct response to that. It is a space where modern Ugandan street culture, music, fashion, and creativity collide. Consumers don’t just watch the vibe; they co-create it. It’s vibrant, it’s expressive, and it’s undeniably SO UG,” he said.
Josh SB, the event’s creative partner, outlined some of the experiences partygoers can expect, including interactive Uganda Waragi cocktail stations offering drinks mixed and served according to individual preferences.
The experience will also feature an auto show, transforming selected vehicles into mini party zones. The cars will feature LED-lit trunks and customised sound zones synchronised with DJ sets on the main stage, adding a new dimension to the party atmosphere.
Music will be at the heart of the event, with the main stage promising genre-blending sets featuring Amapiano, Afrobeats, contemporary R&B, and underground Ugandan sounds, delivered by some of Kampala’s top DJs.
Fashion enthusiasts will have a dedicated space in the Drip & Thrift Zone, which will showcase urban style through streetwear pop-ups, live thrifting, and outfit showcases hosted by MCs.
Meanwhile, the Gaming Zone will offer partygoers an alternative way to engage with the experience through virtual reality (VR) video games, classic board games, and pool.
With music, fashion, automotive culture, and gaming brought together under one roof, the UG Yard Party seeks to offer a distinctive celebration of contemporary Ugandan youth culture and creativity.
