“Naza: The Real Story” was made by, among others, Ariel Averbuch, a lawyer and IDF major, who describes it as “an offensive move” .
While Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor's documentary “Naza” recounts anonymous Israeli officers’ testimonies about the killing of civilians in Gaza, the counter-documentary instead focuses on what is described as “the most moral army in the world.”
The new documentary mimics the original’s cinematic language, writes The Guardian, a co-producer of Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor's “Naza,” which received an honorary award at the Venice Biennale and the longest standing ovation in the festival’s history.
