Alex Cooper has given birth to her first child.
The Call Her Daddy podcast host took to Instagram on Tuesday (20.10.26) to announce that she and her 42-year-old husband, film producer Matt Kaplan, have welcomed a baby boy, but did not reveal his name or when their bundle of joy was born.
Instead, Alex, 32, simply captioned a sweet shot of their newborn, dressed in a fluffy, mint green babygrow, with a blue love heart emoji.
Fans flocked to the post's comments section to congratulate the couple, who got married in April 2024 after four years of dating.
One gushed: "Omggg congrats. So cute baby boy. God bless him (sic)."
A second supporter reacted: "Congratulations on your beautiful little miracle!
"Wishing your growing family endless love, happiness, and unforgettable moments together."
And a third follower penned: "Congrats!!! Welcome to the boy mom club (sic)."
Alex announced her pregnancy in May, and the following month, the star revealed she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
According to the National Health Service (NHS), the condition is "high blood sugar (glucose) that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth".
In a video posted on Instagram, she said: "I’m not gonna cry on the internet because I’ve never cried on the internet, but when I tell you, I almost did.
"I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. It is when the placenta hormones cause insulin resistance, a.k.a., your pancreas cannot create enough insulin to keep your blood sugar normal.
"I was told anyone can get this no matter what your prior weight, diet, fitness level - literally anyone is susceptible to getting it."
Alex admitted she initially felt alone when she was diagnosed with the high blood sugar condition, which "can happen at any stage of pregnancy, but is more common in the second or third trimester", the NHS says.
The entertainer added: "When I got this diagnosis, the first couple days, I was really hard on myself and it felt very isolating. As much as my family and my husband and everyone was there for me, I just felt like it’s me on an island.
"This diagnosis was so upsetting, I think, because during pregnancy there’s already so much emotionally that you’re going through.
"I have been so blessed, and there’s been so many incredible parts of my pregnancy, but it’s a lot."
While Alex's main priority is her and Matt's child, she hopes that sharing her experience with gestational diabetes will make other women dealing with the condition feel less alone.
She said: "Obviously my first instinct is, 'Oh my god I want my child to be OK, and I want my baby to be healthy, and I’ll do whatever it takes.'
"If there’s another woman out there that’s going through this right now - honey, I see you more than I’ve ever seen you."
