| 1 | Pakistan | 2 | 2 | 0 | 4 | +1.240 |
| 2 | Sri Lanka | 2 | 1 | 1 | 2 | -0.348 |

Each team has two league matches remaining. A win earns two points, while a no-result awards one point to each team.
How net run rate could decide the ODI tri-series final qualifiers
In case teams are tied in terms of points, net run rate (NRR) can come into play to determine which teams qualify for the final.
Pakistan have an edge with their NRR of +1.240 as compared to -0.348 for Sri Lanka and -0.892 for England. England's heavy defeat against Pakistan means that they have been disadvantaged, while a win for Sri Lanka has been advantageous for them.
Further matches can see some changes to the above statistics. As a result, those teams who are looking to qualify for the final should keep both these things in mind.

How can Sri Lanka qualify for final? Qualification scenario explained
Sri Lanka revived their hopes through their 2-wicket victory over England, thereby registering two points in two matches. They still have two chances left to get a better standing.

How can England qualify for final? Qualification scenario explained
England find themselves at the bottom of the table following back-to-back losses against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Even with the impressive double century by Harry Brook against Sri Lanka, England could not manage a victory.

- Win only one match: They will finish with two points. Other favourable results will be needed, and qualification will become very difficult.
