Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts are on a losing skid again. On Sunday, they became just the first victim of the season by Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans, as Taylor and company suffered a 26-20 loss at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
At first, it looked as though Indianapolis was on its way to recovering from a Week 5 loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the Colts scored the first 13 points of the Tennessee game.
With a 13-0 lead by halftime, Indianapolis was in position to get back to .500.
Instead, Indianapolis crumbled, particularly in the fourth quarter, where the Titans scored 20 points.
Colts’ Taylor Sums up Frustrating Week 6 Loss to The Titans
Facing a previously winless Titans squad, Indianapolis appeared to have a great opportunity to add a win to its record, while playing in front of the team’s home fans. It turned out to be a disaster for the Colts, who dropped to 2-4.
“That one hurts,” Taylor said after the game, via Josh Bode of WISHTV.com. “It stings. You don’t want to lose division games at home; that’s just something you don’t want to do. It’s on us. No one is coming to save us, but you’ve got to look yourself in the mirror and figure out what type of team you want to be.”
Taylor, who’s been floated as a potential trade candidate, rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries versus Tennessee, which, despite coming up with only 186 yards of offense to 399 by Indianapolis, found a way to steal a win.
That is just one of the many questions Indianapolis has to ponder, as the Colts look to stop their bleeding and turn things around. They will look to get things right again in Week 7 against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings (5-0) at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
