The Alabama football team had no answers on offense Saturday, as the team lost 26-10 to Tennessee. Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Ryan Grubbis under fire after that loss.
“Alabama’s 6 lowest yardage games since 2015 have all come under Kalen DeBoer, including 4 with Ryan Grubb at OC,” 247 Sports reporter Mike Rodak posted to X, formerly Twitter.
Against Tennessee, Alabama mustered just 201 total yards. That included 54 yards rushing. It was simply a brutal day for the Crimson Tide offense.

“Between 2015-23, lowest yards Alabama posted was 261 against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl in January 2018,” Rodak posted.
This is not good news for Alabama. The Crimson Tide have now dropped back-to-back games against Tennessee and Georgia. Alabama has little room for error moving forward, if the team is to make the College Football Playoff.
“I felt like, we actually — at the end of the game, just looking at the guys in their eyes and stuff, they were scrapping until the end. Gonna keep playing. That’s what this is gonna be about moving forward, is continue to repeat that we’re gonna find a way. You got to pick up and come to work,” Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said after the Tennessee game, per 247 Sports.
The Crimson Tide have plenty of tough games coming up. That includes a road game against Lane Kiffin’s LSU squad. DeBoer knows his team has to play better.
“I told the guys, this is a team that can do it. This is a team that can do that. You got to catch some breaks, you got to stay healthy and all that. But that’s everyone across the board,” DeBoer said.
Alabama next plays Texas A&M on Saturday. The Crimson Tide are now 5-2 on the campaign.
