Some truly disturbing news, a revenge mission and a whole lot of secrecy are on the menu for next week’s Emmerdale.
When Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) learns that her monstrous abusive ex, Tom King (James Chase), is due to be released from prison, the ground beneath her feet gives way. As word spreads through the village, everyone has their own ideas on how she should deal with what’s coming, but which way will Belle go?
DS Thea Ramsden’s (Chelsea Edge) thirst for vengeance against secret mum Kim Tate (Claire King) is ever increasing, and when she listens in to a conversation between Kim and Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), she launches her latest attack; will she finally nail the Queen of the village?
Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) continues on her mission to destroy Caleb and Ruby Miligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly), and as her plan starts to bear fruit, is she getting closer to her goal?
Elsewhere, the saga of the missing money rages on, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) takes Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) on a fishing trip before he begins his radiotherapy and Sam and Lydia (James Hooton and Karen Blick) continue to plan for Samson Dingle’s (Sam Hall) return.
You good to go? Let’s do it, then!
Monday, October 19
Belle is floored to learn that Tom will be released from prison soon and as she bolts, Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) worries for her.
When Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) overhears Belle telling Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) the news, he tells them that he’s spoken to Tom as the prison chaplain, and assures her that he’s seeking forgiveness and, with her mind racing, Belle decides to visit him.
While Kim is anxious over hiding her huge secret from Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), Lydia turns to her for support, and mistakenly assumes that she’s offered Samson a job upon his release.
Meanwhile, Liam takes Cain on a fishing trip prior to his radiotherapy and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) interrogate the obvious suspects over the missing money.
Tuesday, October 20
Returning home from the fishing trip to learn the news of Tom’s release, Cain and Kammy convince Belle not to visit Tom, and she heads to Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) for support.
While Belle is immediately lifted, Rhona privately warns Cain that Tom could emerge even more dangerous than before.
Lydia is wounded when Kim tells her they’d cross wires and there is no job for Samson, while Thea listens in and gets her own wires crossed in regards to the fate of baby Tate.
Elsewhere, Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) supports Nicola who worries that Jimmy King (Nick Miles) would want her to support Tom, while the villagers all become desperate over the missing poker money.
Wednesday, October 21
Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) is concerned over Thea’s worsening obsession with getting revenge on Kim, and soon, a social worker arrives at Home Farm over an allegation of an illegal adoption.
Still focussed on tearing the couple apart, Sadie notes Caleb’s dinner plans with Ruby and is soon actively sabotaging his efforts.
Also, Sam feels positive over Samson’s future, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) has a bad day and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) becomes suspicious of Liam.
Friday, October 23
Kammy tells Belle that he loves her, but with the turmoil of Tom’s impending release, she can’t cope and instantly flees.
Thea continues to keep tabs on Kim, and after getting her hands on her phone, downloads message chains before heading away to investigate what she’s found.
Concurrently, Liam remains cagey, Joe blows off Gabby Thomas’ (Rosie Bentham) attempts to empathise and Sadie revels in the trouble she’s causing.
