A terrible scene unfolded in San Francisco on Monday night as Washington Commanders star wide receiver Terry McLaurin went down with an injury and was carted off the field.
McLaurin was observed by NFL reporter Nicki Jhabvala wearing an air cast on his left leg, which could signal a serious injury that would require the Commanders receiver to miss significant time. He's such a huge part of the offense, so this stings a great deal.
This is just rotten news for one of the best receivers in the NFL. We hope that McLaurin's injury isn't nearly as serious as it looks. What a tough, tough blow to the Commanders if he's out for the foreseeable future.
He was ruled out for the rest of the game with a knee injury, per the team.

So much positive energy and promise for Terry McLaurin coming into this season. Now seems it’ll be cut short by a significant injury. Hate to see that for one of the league’s really good guys. https://t.co/bvBBBvW52A

We'll keep you updated on what we hear more on McLaurin's status.
Who would step up as Washington's top receiver?
Stefon Diggs and Antonio Williams would take center focus in the Commanders' offense.
