Lotte Group will hire about 500 local employees in Vietnam this year, a 20% increase from last year.
Lotte said on the 25th that it held the "2026 Lotte Global Campus Recruiting in Vietnam" at five universities in Hanoi from the 21st to the 23rd. The event was designed to expand overseas local hiring in line with the group's global business expansion. The five universities, including Vietnam National University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, were selected based on hiring demand at each affiliate and the main academic programs at each school. More than 3,000 job seekers visited the venues over the three days.
The event consisted of two programs: recruitment booths offering career consultations and one-on-one mock interviews, and information sessions combining introductions to the group and its affiliates. Recruiters and current employees from six affiliates operating in Vietnam took part, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel, Lotte World, Lotte Innovate, Lotte Property & Development and Daehong Communications.
Nguyen Thi Linh, a student at Vietnam National University who attended the event, said Lotte is considered one of the Korean companies that people in Vietnam most want to work for. "I have long been interested in Lotte, so I attended the recruiting event again this year after taking part last year," they said.
More than 10,000 local employees currently work at Lotte's operations in Vietnam. Since last year, the group has been running large-scale overseas hiring events such as the Global Job Fair and Global Campus Recruiting as part of efforts to strengthen its recruitment branding. Lotte plans to hold similar hiring events in Indonesia, another key market for the group, following Vietnam.
A Lotte official said that to secure top global talent, it is important to show overseas candidates the group's business competitiveness and its range of growth opportunities. "We will continue to expand our points of contact with local talent and strengthen the competitiveness of our recruitment brand so that we can establish ourselves as a company preferred by global talent," the official said.
