Under the agreement, Kazakhstan will be removed from the list of Central Asian countries whose citizens face additional entry requirements imposed by Egyptian authorities for tourism purposes. The decision is intended to facilitate travel for Kazakh tourists and promote tourism exchanges between the two countries.
The agreement was one of the key outcomes of Tileuberdi’s official visit to Egypt, during which the two sides also agreed to extend visa-free travel to holders of valid service passports and strengthen bilateral trade, investment and political cooperation.
The ministers also signed a protocol amending the intergovernmental agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports, originally signed on Nov. 7, 2006.
Expanding bilateral cooperation
During the expanded-format talks, Tileuberdi and Abdelatty discussed strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, attracting investment and enhancing cooperation on international platforms.
Both sides noted the high level of Kazakhstan-Egypt relations and emphasized the importance of regular political consultations between their foreign ministries.
The ministers also agreed to intensify cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups following Egypt’s recent parliamentary elections and constitutional reforms in Kazakhstan.
Cultural and humanitarian ties were another focus, including cooperation through the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. In the economic sphere, the sides highlighted opportunities to increase bilateral trade and implement joint investment projects.
