Firms can tap an NTUC grant to aid workplace transformation.
The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and KPMG Singapore have launched a transformation programme to help firms translate artificial intelligence (AI) adoption into business gains and better jobs.
The two groups have inked a partnership to collaborate on supporting companies in areas such as workforce planning, job redesign, worker training, and technology adoption as AI reshapes jobs.
The Labour Movement wants workers to be able to adapt to AI-driven changes and benefit from the opportunities they create, said Chee Meng, NTUC secretary-general.
The programme allows companies to tap the NTUC Company Training Committee Grant and Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package at different stages of their workplace transformation, from planning to implementation.
Companies will then be supported in planning their future manpower needs and redesigning jobs around higher-value work, whilst reskilling or redeploying employees into new or expanded roles.
NTUC LearningHub and KPMG have also agreed to collaborate on six capability-building courses spanning AI transformation, AI in sustainability, and AI in finance.
The two organisations said they aim for better jobs, wages, and work prospects for workers alongside improvements in business productivity.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW
Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.
Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.
We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.
If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
