In Sophie Bille Brahe’s world, diamonds have never been reserved for special occasions. They’re meant to move with the body, to feel lived-in and almost second nature. That same philosophy shapes the Danish designer’s debut high jewelry collection, “Tangerine Sky,” a luminous exploration of softness and sculpture created to mark her brand’s 15th anniversary.
“I was interested in the contrast between the hard and the soft,” Bille Brahe tells ELLE. “Diamonds and gold are precious and natural materials, but I wanted them to feel fluid, floating, and almost weightless. The silhouettes are sculptural, yet soft, inspired by the feeling of something suspended in the air.”
That idea comes to life in sweeping diamond necklaces that drape like ribbons, sculptural earrings that seem to hover around the ear, and cascading silhouettes designed to catch both movement and light.

The collection was conceived in dialogue with the work of Cy Twombly, whose gestural lines and sense of movement echo throughout the designs. Across eight one-of-a-kind pieces, heart-shaped diamonds mingle with round, pear, and cushion cuts in softly asymmetrical compositions that appear almost suspended in midair.
Named Sky 1 through Sky 8, the collection revisits some of Bille Brahe’s most recognizable motifs through the lens of high jewelry. The Sky 6 necklace, for instance, transforms her Collier de Tennis into a sweeping cascade of graduated round brilliant-cut diamonds. Elsewhere, Sky 7 elevates the signature Gaia ring, whose clean arrangement of centered stones gives way to a swirling constellation of diamonds inspired by the myth of Uranus and Gaia.
