Nepal will host the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) Asia Conference from November 17 to 21, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced on Friday.
The multi-day conference, which will be managed by CAN and organised by the ICC, will bring together official representatives from Asia’s Test-playing nations, Associate Members and high-level delegates from the global cricket community.
According to CAN, the high-profile gathering is expected to foster regional cooperation, promote sustainable cricket development, and strengthen Nepal’s institutional standing in international cricket while contributing to the country's tourism growth.
As part of the itinerary, foreign delegates visiting Nepal for the conference will also observe the Eliminator and Final matches of the third edition of the Nepal Premier League, which commences on October 26.
“Hosting the conference will add a significant new dimension to the structural development of Nepali cricket and help expand the country's international relations within the sport,” read a press statement issued by CAN Secretary Paras Khadka.
