The Arizona Cardinals became the latest team to expose the Los Angeles Rams. Sean McVay’s Rams entered the 2026 NFL season with a ton of hype, especially after they successfully traded for Cleveland Browns superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett and the unretirement of future Pro Football Hall of Famer Aaron Donald.
Through six weeks of football, the Rams have won just two games and lost four. On Sunday, they absorbed an 18-16 loss at the hands of the Cards at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
For some on the internet, Arizona’s win over its NFC West Division rival Los Angeles was a perfect reason to bring back a not-so-old quote Cards linebacker Mack Wilson Jr. said in the preseason about the Rams.
“They’ve got to deal with us,” Wilson said to reporters just before the start of the 2026 NFL season. “At the end of the day, they’ve got to deal with us.”

As it turned out, Los Angeles couldn’t handle Wilson and company.
Wilson, for one, stepped up and backed up his preseason talk, as he led Arizona with nine total tackles versus the Rams.

Arizona’s offense didn’t find the end zone, but the Cardinals rode the hot hand (or foot) of kicker Chad Ryland, who went a perfect 6-for-6 on his field-goal attempts, including the walk-off game-winner from 43 yards away.
Meanwhile, Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett went 24-of-35 for 218 passing yards with zero touchdowns and an interception. Running back Bam Knight paced his team on the ground with 80 rushing yards on 15 carries, stabilizing Arizona’s run game despite operating without injured rookie Jeremiyah Love.
With their win at SoFi Stadium, the Cards, who recently traded Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans, move up to third place in the NFC West standings with a 2-4 record.
