Oregon lost its second exhibition game of the preseason Oct. 21 after Utah rallied to win in overtime.
The Utes tied the score with a 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation then went on to win 81-77 Wednesday night at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.
Tyrone Riley IV scored 16 to lead the Ducks, and Jasper Johnson and Andrew Meadow had 12 points each.
Riley made a pair of free throws to put Oregon ahead 73-70 with 20 seconds to play in the second half. Utah's Taison Chatman’s 3-pointer with three seconds to go was off the mark, but he grabbed his own rebound and connected on his second chance to send the game into overtime.
The Ducks were outscored 8-4 in OT as they made just 1 of 9 from the field.
In the game, Riley was 5 for 12 from the field with two of Oregon’s 10 3-pointers. He was also 4 for 6 from the free-throw line and had five rebounds.
The Ducks were outshot 42%-39% and outrebounded 50-43 and still led for all but 4:33 minutes of game time.
Oregon will return home for its final exhibition game of the preseason when it plays Stanford at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Matthew Knight Arena.
