Madeleine King has praised the work of her department in a speech outlining Labor’s plan to secure a reliable and affordable supply of domestic gas.
Australia’s minister for resources has applauded the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources (DISR) for being one of “the most productive” federal departments, in a major speech in Canberra.
Madeleine King told the National Press Club that DISR and its agencies, including Geoscience Australia, were responsible for the endowment of Australia’s natural resources and the continent’s rich geology.
“Our geological heritage, gifted by nothing other than time, has been the foundation of our economic strength, helping us to become a world-renowned global resources exporter,” King said.
