Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an early insight into the situation of Dani Olmo. This comes after the Spanish international suffered his latest injury setback.
Barca are of course fresh off an outing to forget all told on Tuesday. After making the trip to France’s capital to lock horns with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, the Blaugrana were condemned to a first defeat of the season.
Despite goals on the part of Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal, PSG’s attacking prowess proved too much, en route to an eventual 4-2 result.
The eventual outcome, though, proved to be far from the only source of concern for Barcelona this evening…
After seeing both Eric García and Jules Koundé pick up injuries over the weekend, this time round, it was the turn of Dani Olmo to suffer a setback.
The attacking midfielder was forced off during the first-half at the Parc des Princes, after going to ground clutching his knee.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, Hansi Flick was therefore asked for the latest on Olmo’s wellbeing. And Barca’s headmaster went on to explain:
“Olmo? We’ll see. He took that hit and had some discomfort. We have to wait.”
