GMR Aero Technic signs MoU with French firm to develop Integrated Cabin Excellence Centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad-based aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider, GMR Aero Technic has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with France-based UUDS Aero to develop advanced aircraft cabin interior capabilities in India.

Under the partnership, the two companies will work towards establishing an Integrated Cabin Excellence Centre at GMR Aero Technic’s facility in Hyderabad. The centre will focus on the design, modification, certification, repair, retrofitting, refurbishment, manufacturing and installation of aircraft cabin interiors.

The collaboration will combine UUDS Aero’s expertise in cabin interior design, engineering, certification and production with GMR Aero Technic’s MRO infrastructure and operational capabilities. It aims to provide airlines and aircraft operators with integrated cabin interior solutions, catering to the requirements of the Indian and international aviation markets, as per a note.

UUDS Aero holds European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 21J Design Organisation Approval (DOA) and Part 21G Production Organisation Approval (POA), which cover aircraft design and production activities, respectively.
