Security guards at a Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) campaign rally in Zajecar prevented TV Nova reporter Katarina Golubovic and a crew from local outlet Glas Zajecara from covering the event on Tuesday.
The reporters were stopped and the barred from approaching the rally venue on the grounds that they posed a “security threat.” Security personnel also claimed they lacked accreditation, although Golubovic said TV Nova had properly submitted its accreditation request.
President Aleksandar Vucic addressed the campaign rally in Zajecar ahead of Serbia's October 25 parliamentary elections.
