Molly-Mae Hague is back on the adidas Originals roster, and her latest Samba might just be the autumn shoe your wardrobe has been waiting for.
Following the success of her first footwear collection with the sportswear giant earlier this year, the influencer and entrepreneur is returning for round two, this time giving the much-loved terrace shoe a seasonal makeover. Meet the Samba Slate, a limited edition release that swaps the previous matcha and latte for something more understated. Available to shop now via the ASOS app.
If you’re familiar with Molly-Mae’s brand, you’ll recognise the aesthetic. It’s neutral tones, pared-back basics and a simple approach to getting dressed. That same sensibility is easy to spot in her latest adidas collaboration, which feels like a natural extension of her own wardrobe rather than a design exercise in chasing the next big trainer trend.
The Samba Slate comes in a grey colourway, complete with off-white Three Stripes, a classic gum sole and contrasting double laces (like the previous shoes) in grey and cream.
Grey trainers are a handy alternative to the usual white pair, especially when autumn calls for a little more depth in your wardrobe. The muted shades will work just as well with dark denim and a jumper as they will with a tracksuit or Molly-Mae’s signature neutral co-ords.
Speaking about the launch, Molly-Mae said: ‘The response to my first footwear collection with adidas was something I’ll always be incredibly proud of. Seeing people embrace the designs and incorporate them into their own wardrobes made the partnership feel even more special.’
She added that returning to the Samba felt like ‘a natural next step’, describing the new colourway as having ‘a timeless appeal that makes it the perfect addition to an autumn wardrobe’.
