Around 1,500 economically disadvantaged children were given clothes, and some of them were provided with medical consultations ahead of the festive season.
Past pupils of Don Bosco Park Circus — from the batch of 1963 up to 2026 — came together for the first edition of Bosco Anand, which celebrated the joy of giving and strengthened bonds of friendship and inclusion.
On Mahalaya 1,423 children across seven centres at Park Circus, Mirpara, Krishnanagar, Azimganj, Bandel, Liluah and Ashalayam received clothes.
At Don Bosco Park Circus, 225 children received clothes and were provided with medical consultations and free medicines.
The children were screened for malnutrition, anaemia and other health concerns.
"My appeal to every Don Bosco Past pupil, every professional, young person and organisation is simple: do not wait for someone else to make a difference. Give what you can...," said Manishankar Das, president, Don Bosco Alumni Association, Kolkata.
"This is the right way to start the festive season...," said Father V.C. George, rector, Don Bosco Park Circus.
