The Minnesota Vikings (5-0) are riding high after a 23-13 win over a desperate New Orleans Saints (1-4) squad. The win preserved the Vikings' perfect record through five games.
While the team is currently thriving, so are several individuals on the squad. One such player in Vikings star quarterback Kyler Murray who made a significant personal move in selling his former home.
Murray, who starred as the Arizona Cardinals' quarterback for the entirety of his NFL career before joining the Vikings, no longer has to stress about his old home after selling his house.
Erik C. Anderson discussed the details of the move as the Vikings head to Week 6. Here's some of what he had to say.
"Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray is putting more distance between himself and the Arizona Cardinals — and this time, the move comes with a $13.75 million price tag. As the Vikings enjoy a 5-0 start to the 2026 NFL season, Murray has reportedly sold his sprawling Arizona estate, closing another chapter on the seven seasons he spent with the Cardinals.
According to an October 13 report from the Phoenix Business Journal, Murray sold his Paradise Valley property in an off-market transaction. The sale comes seven months after Arizona released the former No. 1 overall pick, paving the way for his arrival in Minnesota. And while Murray's future with the Vikings beyond this season remains uncertain, his latest real estate transaction is another tangible step away from his former NFL home.
The quarterback originally purchased the home for $13.5 million in November 2022, just months after agreeing to a five-year, $230.5 million contract extension with the Cardinals."
Whether or not the sale of his house preoccupied much of Murray's head space is unclear, but one would assume the news is a load lifted off his shoulders. Murray can now invest all his time and energy with his new team in Minnesota.
Murray's early season struggles drew the ire of some NFL fans as the Vikings offense struggled to generate much of any offense through the first four games. Murray and company responded in Sunday's win.
The veteran quarterback added 24 completions on 30 attempts with 229 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions through the air. Murray added 10 carries for 51 rushing yards on the ground. That'll work.
Murray is starting to get more comfortable in Minnesota. Perhaps the latest hurdle will only increase his comfort level with his new team.
