Sandipan Garg, one of the seven accused in the case related to the death of Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, who was granted bail by the Gauhati High Court, may walk out of jail on Saturday if the remaining legal formalities are completed in time. However, his release remains uncertain as the fast-track court is scheduled to remain closed from October 17 to October 26.
The High Court granted Garg bail on a bond of Rs 50,000, subject to two sureties. His release will depend on the completion of the necessary procedures and approval from the fast-track court.
Garg’s family is making efforts to complete the formalities on Saturday itself so that he can be released without further delay.

Despite the court holiday, Garg’s family and legal team are trying to complete the remaining procedures required for his release.
The fast-track court’s closure has created uncertainty over whether the formalities can be completed on Saturday. If the process is not completed in time, Garg may have to remain in jail until after the Durga Puja holidays.
Although the High Court has granted him bail, the order alone does not guarantee his immediate release. The required paperwork and court procedures must be completed before he can leave prison.
Garg’s release now hinges on whether the remaining formalities can be completed despite the court closure. His family is making efforts to secure the necessary approval at the earliest.
If the process is completed on Saturday, he could be released the same day. Otherwise, his release may be delayed until the courts resume after the holiday period.
Further developments are awaited as the family and lawyers continue their efforts to complete the process.
