Kourtney Kardashian shows off sultry early Halloween costume with Travis Barker days after health scare

When Halloween rounds the corner, expect Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker to be first in line with costumes.

Just a few days after Travis, 50, admitted himself to the hospital to have surgery due to numbness in his hand and fingers, the couple are already kicking things off for Halloween – several weeks in advance.

Kourtney Kardashian's early Halloween

Kourtney, 47, took to her Instagram Stories with a peek at one (of presumably many) couples costume that she and Travis are going for – vampires.

She shared a (now deleted) selfie of herself in her car, dressed in a black low-cut lace dress with a coat on top and a matching choker. Her hair was styled into wispy tendrils falling down her shoulders, and she paired the look with a smokey eye and a bold red lip, with a trail of blood running down her lip.

Kourtney then shared another selfie, this time taken by Travis sitting beside her, dressed in a black button down with the same trail of blood down the side of his own lip, adding two vampire emojis to the photo.

Travis Barker's health scare

Earlier in the week, the Blink-182 drummer shared a pair of photos of himself in a hospital bed, an IV connected to his arm and dressed in surgical robes, surrounded by his daughter Alabama and Kourtney.

While he didn't reveal at the time the reason for his stay, he later returned to social media and explained: "I had surgery yesterday. My arm, hand and fingers have been numb since a show I played last month. I did a nerve test Monday after my show and it turns out I needed a cubital tunnel release to fix the nerve."

"I wanted to get ahead of it and get it over with so that I can keep playing the way I play for a long long time. Should be good in a few weeks," he continued, ending by quipping: "Not sure why my wife looks so happy about this)."

Travis on health, sobriety and mindfulness

Over the past two decades, especially following a 2008 plane crash he was involved in which resulted in the deaths of four of the six people on board, Travis has paid a greater deal of attention to his health, for the sake of his music and also his family.

"That's why I train and that's why I run and that's why I box and that is why I do the things I do. Because I want to be able to play the way I want to play," he told The New York Times previously, which also extends to his sobriety journey and his decision to start a run club.

The mindfulness part, in particular, came in handy when the musician was forced to deal with his PTSD when he had to go back on a plane once again. "I didn't know exactly how to navigate after my accident — talked to a post-traumatic doctor, got sober, would run, would exercise, do all this stuff that I just felt was calling me," he recalled.

His massage therapist recommended breath work, which Travis was initially skeptical of. "10 minutes into it, I'm bawling my eyes out. I'm like, a mess. And it's like that the next five sessions," he shared.
