A 30-year-old man, Haruna Ishaka, has died after his 24-year-old wife, Maimuna, allegedly severed his manhood during a domestic dispute in Maigoje village, Mai Idanu Ward, Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The incident occurred around 11:15p.m. on Monday. Sources revealed that the attack followed repeated quarrels over Ishaka’s alleged extramarital affairs with young girls, despite several warnings from his wife.
Ishaka succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning and has been buried in line with Islamic rites. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Confirming the event on Friday, Taraba State Police Command spokesperson, Victor Mshelizah, stated that the Divisional Police Officer was en route to the scene.
