Dark Matter fans, we’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is that Season 2 of Apple TV‘s hit sci-fi series is almost over. The good news? Dark Matter‘s Season 1 finale absolutely slapped, which means we have high hopes that the sophomore season will go out with a bang, too!
For those who need a refresher, the official synopsis for Season 2, Episode 9, “How to Build the Box,” was as follows: “As unexpected reunions unfold, Agent MacNamara (Chris Diamantopoulos) sees for himself what the Box can do.”
No spoilers, but when the end credits roll on Episode 209, Dark Matter fans will be left wanting more. The question is, when will they get it?
There’s lots more of Jason (Joel Edgerton), Daniela (Jennifer Connelly), Charlie (Oakes Gedley), Amanda (Alice Braga), Ryan (Jimmi Simpson), Blair (Amanda Brugel), and Leighton’s (Dayo Okeniyi) stories left to tell. So how many episodes are in Dark Matter Season 2? When is Dark Matter Season 2, Episode 10’s release date? When is the Dark Matter Season 2 finale? And will there be a Dark Matter Season 3?
As the end of the sophomore season nears, here’s what to know about Dark Matter Season 2, Episode 10’s premiere date, time, and beyond.
How Many Episodes Are In Dark Matter Season 2?
Like Season 1 before it, Dark Matter Season 2 consists of 10 episodes.
When Is Dark Matter‘s Season 2 Finale On Apple TV? Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 10 Release Date:
Dark Matter Season 2, Episode 10 (aka the Season 2 finale) premieres Friday, October 30 on Apple TV. But locked-in Apple TV fans know you can start streaming sooner. Here’s what we mean by that…
What Time Does Dark Matter Season 2, Episode 10 Come Out On Apple TV?
Apple TV regularly releases new episodes at 9:00 p.m. ET the night before designated premiere dates, so if you’re extra eager to watch Dark Matter‘s Season 2 finale, keep your eyes peeled at 9:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 29 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Will There Be A Dark Matter Season 3?
Ahead of Dark Matter‘s Season 2 finale, Apple TV had yet to officially renew the hit sci-fi series for Season 3, but that’s not to say it won’t happen! It’s common for networks and streamers to wait a while after new seasons air to announce renewals, and no spoilers, but when the end credits roll on Season 2, there will be plenty more story left to tell. Dark Matter Season 2 received a Certified Fresh 82% Rotten Tomatoes rating from critics, plus there are already plans for a third season.
In an interview with ScreenRant, producer Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry said, “We designed Season 2, and when we were pitching it to Apple, and we were going through the process of getting it greenlit we designed the whole show to be three seasons. We see it as a trilogy, and that would be such an amazing opportunity to get to end something on your own terms and have a real round and complete story. And we’re very hopeful that that’s something that happens…”
Dark Matter Season 3 sounds like a serious possibility, so stay tuned for more updates!
When Will Dark Matter Season 3 Come Out?
Since Dark Matter has yet to be officially renewed, there’s no Season 3 release date on the books yet. But since there was a two-year gap between Season 1 and Season 2’s premieres, there’s a chance it could take a while for new episodes to arrive. Again, stay tuned for updates!
