Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health has rebranded Bryan, Texas.-based St. Joseph Health hospitals and care sites under the parent system’s moniker, retaining St. Joseph in hospital names as part of an October rollout.
The system’s official naming list includes CommonSpirit – St. Joseph Hospital locations in Madison County, Burleson County, College Station, Grimes County and Bryan. Clinics and other care sites will use CommonSpirit Medical Group alongside their clinic names and locations.
CommonSpirit – St. Joseph Hospital – Madison County held a rebranding and blessing ceremony Oct. 14, according to the Madisonville (Texas) Meteor.
St. Joseph Health has been part of CommonSpirit since 2019. The system said the name changes will not affect care teams, services, insurance coverage or network status. Patients may continue seeing legacy names alongside CommonSpirit branding on signs, bills, forms and staff uniforms during the transition.
The Brazos Valley changes are part of a broader Texas rebranding that also includes St. Luke’s Health hospitals and care sites in East Texas and Houston. Those hospitals are adopting names that incorporate CommonSpirit and retain St. Luke’s.
