Kate Hudson infused her sartorial agenda with the ultimate glam material – faux feathers. The actress attended the Giorgio Armani exclusive after-party for The Academy Gala at Chateau Marmont.
The 47-year-old slipped into a sleek black gown that featured a figure-hugging silhouette with delicate spaghetti straps. The dress boasted a deep V-neckline along with an open back design, which was accented with a panel embellished in intricate diamantes. For added drama, Kate layered the look with an oversized black feathered coat. The chic ensemble was completed with a silver sequinned bag, a pair of oversized silver statement earrings, and a delicate diamond-encrusted bracelet.
Kate's luscious locks were styled into soft waves while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a dark berry lip. The star took to Instagram following the event to share a series of pictures that captured her posing with a dirty martini. "Nightcap," she penned in the caption.

The actress's look is bang on trend for the season. Feathers floated down the autumn/winter 2026 runways, with Michael Kors debuting a collection adorned with ostrich feathers, stitching the detailing onto skirts and dresses. Meanwhile, Erdem set plums on outerwear and Prada embellished its footwear with layers of feathers. The silhouettes of Balenciaga and Dior were trimmed with feathers on the hemlines of garments, and they also featured at the likes of Alaïa and Valentino.
Meanwhile, during Couture Week, they were seen at Schiaparelli and Chanel, where garments showcased both actual feathers and their delicate illusions. Intricate beads were clustered on silk mousseline, tracing the outlines of layered feathers.

Kate Hudson The Academy Gala
For the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala, Kate looked ethereal in a sculptural champagne-pink evening gown courtesy of Armani Privè. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline with a sleeveless design and mermaid silhouette. Delicate crystal appliqués adorned the edges of the dress while ruffle pleats added volume to the silhouette. These ruffles were crafted into a sculptural design at the top left of the bodice and billowed outwards for a dramatic finish.

Kate's toned physique is down to her disciplined fitness routine. "I need to be moving to feel good," she told People in 2024. "Even just making time for a little movement every day — going for a walk, doing a few minutes on the treadmill, some Pilates, or if I have more time for it, I love hot yoga." She continued: "I really enjoy sweating it out, and it helps me clear my mind. It’s not just about trying to look good physically, it’s important to get oxygen to my brain and feel like my blood is really circulating. I love skiing, walking, hiking and especially riding my bike. It makes me feel like a kid again!."
