The San Francisco 49ers will be without their top two wideouts against the Atlanta Falcons this week.
Mike Evans (Achilles) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) have both been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Neither player participated in practice all week.
Wide receiver Christian Kirk is also questionable with a calf injury, but has been a full participant in practice after missing the start of the season. Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday he was trending toward making his season debut:
"Yeah," Shanahan responded. "Hopefully, tomorrow goes well, but we didn't do anything yesterday, so it was hard to really judge guys. But today we just finished a full-speed practice, and I haven't watched the film yet, but he looked good out there.
"Talking to him, he felt good, and I think he felt good last week, so it's trending in the right direction right now."
With Evans and Samuel out, the Niners wide receiver with the most receiving yards this season is Demarcus Robinson, with 84.
