PETALING JAYA: LBS Bina Group Bhd has secured two accolades at the Malaysia Developer Awards (MDA) 2026, strengthening its standing in Malaysia's property development sector through recognition of its market position and sustainability initiatives.
The property developer received the Top of the Chart Award, placing it among the top three developers in the market capitalisation category for companies valued at below RM1 billion.
It also won the Best Qualitative Award, which recognises achievements in environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, placemaking innovation and digitalisation, as reflected in its Integrated Annual Report 2025.
In a statement, LBS Bina said the dual recognition highlights LBS' balanced approach to business growth, combining financial performance with responsible business practices, innovation and long-term value creation.
It also reflects the company's continued efforts to strengthen its market position while responding to the evolving needs of homebuyers and communities.
The awards ceremony was held at the KLGCC Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, with Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming as the guest of honour.
Organised jointly by Star Media Group and FIABCI-Malaysia, the MDA recognises excellence in property development, with awards covering market capitalisation, financial performance, corporate governance and sustainable growth.
LBS Group executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San said the awards reflected the group's resilience, disciplined business approach and commitment to sustainable growth.
"We are honoured to receive these two awards, which reflect the company's resilience, disciplined business approach and continued commitment to sustainable growth," he said.
Lim said this recognition reinforces the company's responsibility to create lasting value for its stakeholders while delivering quality developments that meet the evolving expectations of homebuyers and communities.
"As we look ahead, LBS Bina remains focused on strengthening our development portfolio, exploring new opportunities and enhancing the way we plan and deliver our projects," he said.
"We look forward to unveiling an exciting new development in November, marking another important milestone in the Group's growth journey."
Lim said beyond delivering properties, the company aims to create well-planned environments that offer lasting value to homeowners and communities.
"Through responsible development practices, thoughtful placemaking and the effective use of technology, we will continue to pursue sustainable growth while contributing positively to the communities we serve," he said.
The latest accolades add to LBS Bina's track record of industry recognition and reinforce the Group's focus on quality development, sound corporate governance and sustainable business practices as it continues to build long-term value for its stakeholders.
