The Knicks and Timberwolves are getting ready for a preseason showdown, taking place at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.
The reigning NBA champions have had a bit of a slow start to the preseason, losing to both the Sixers and Wizards last week. MVP Jalen Brunson and Landry Shamet led the scoring against Washington, but even with a solid lead at half, New York was unable to pull through with a win.
The Timberwolves will be looking for an early-season statement win as they head to the Big Apple. After a solid victory over the Bucks, Minnesota fell to the Pacers in a matchup on Iowa State's campus, with the T-Wolves' starters coming out of the game in the third quarter. Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels and new addition LaMelo Ball led scoring for the team.
