The fourth N1 debate on the rule of law focused on former Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's decision to pardon 49 people shortly before leaving office, raising questions about the legality and transparency of the process and the separation of powers.

The politicians in the N1 studio were Slobodan Cvejić for European Serbia, Milos Stankovic for the Authentic Right, Marina Ragus for the Aleksandar Vučić - United Serbia list and Ivana Petrovi for the Student List.
Vucic said the pardons covered 12 activists from the so-called Novi Sad group and 11 people involved in incidents against students and protesters. The identities of the remaining 26 people have not been disclosed. The Justice Ministry said it did not know who had been pardoned and would not participate in implementing the decisions.
The debate examined whether presidential pardons, a constitutionally recognized power, had been used as a political tool that could undermine judicial independence and equality before the law.
