A new bike pump track will be launched at Ocean Reef Marina’s community open day on November 21.
The track is in Marina Cove Park next to the ocean-themed playground and was designed by specialist pump track designers Convic, working with landscape architects and in consultation with the City of Joondalup.
It is made up of connected concrete loops, including a smaller beginner and learn-to-ride section for younger children and a larger main loop for more confident riders.
It also includes shade shelters, seating, trees and garden beds around the track.
Planning and Lands Minister John Carey said the track will give local families a free and active place to ride their bikes.
“The track has been designed specifically for bikes, with textured riding surfaces throughout,” he said.
“It adds another reason for families to spend the day at Ocean Reef Marina. Visitors on the day will be welcome to bring their bikes and helmets and give it a go.”
More information about the open day and the bike pump track can be found online.
