ⓘ Orico
Orico, a brand that's best known for storage solutions and accessories, entered the laptop market in late 2025. Now, the company is introducing its very first AMD-powered model to the global market. Starting at $689.99, it's a relatively affordable system with enough power to handle light-to-moderate productivity workloads.
The Orico Obook Ultrabook was announced in China in late 2025 as the company's first laptop, and now the brand is tapping into the global laptop market with the Obook 15 AI. It's not exactly the same system as the one introduced last year in the Chinese market, but the good part is that the starting price is relatively affordable.
Orico's Obook 15 AI packs the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, an upper-mid-range processor from the Rembrandt-H series. It features an 8-core Zen 3+ CPU and the Radeon 680M iGPU. The integrated GPU, in particular, makes the laptop capable of handling lightweight gaming and moderate GPU-intensive tasks.
This AMD processor is paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and there are two M.2 slots. Each of them should be able to hold up to an 8TB SSD (Silicon Power 2TB curr. $215.97 on Amazon). Orico further highlights the dual-fan cooling setup of the laptop, which is said to ensure proper heat dissipation.
On the front, there's a 15.6-inch display, and it's an FHD panel with a relatively thick bottom bezel. Its screen size does make the laptop on the larger end, but it seems that Orico has made proper use of the size in terms of the keyboard, as it comes with a numeric keypad as well. The touchpad is relatively large as well, but the same can't be said in terms of the battery.
Specifically, the Orico Obook 15 AI has a 54.29Wh battery, and given that the Ryzen 7 6800H isn't a very efficient processor by modern standards, it won't be able to offer impressive runtime. On the bright side, there's USB-C 100W fast charging support available.
Speaking of the ports, the laptop has the following:
- 2x 10Gbps USB Type-C
- 1x 5Gbps USB Type-A
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x 3.5mm audio
There's WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity. As for the price, the base model has 12GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, and it has a launch price of $689.99. The config with 24GB of memory and a 1TB SSD costs $899.99. Orico didn't share when the laptop will be available for purchase.
