ET OnlineICICI Bank is set to revise service charges on select savings account cash transactions, the bank informed its customers through a mail. The new transaction charges will be effective from December 1, 2026.
In its upcoming revision, ICICI Bank will raise the charge on savings account cash transactions above the complimentary value. However, there will be no change in the existing limit of free deposit and withdrawal transactions and charges per transaction after exceeding the free limit.
What are the revised transaction charges for ICICI Bank savings account customers?
Under the new structure, ICICI Bank savings account customers will still get three free cash deposit transactions and three free cash withdrawal transactions per month. But if the monthly complimentary value limit up to Rs 1 lakh each for deposits and withdrawals is crossed, the applicable charge will go up from Rs 3.50 to Rs 4 per Rs 1,000 transaction, or Rs 150, whichever is higher.
For illustration purposes, if the deposit or the withdrawal transaction value is Rs 1.01 lakh in a month, ICICI Bank customers need to pay Rs 150 as transaction charges. If the value is Rs 1.38 lakh, they need to pay Rs 152 as charges since it is a higher value than Rs 150.
