The Los Angeles Dodgers enter Wednesday aiming to dig out of a 2-0 hole. The Milwaukee Brewers placed the Dodgers’ backs against the wall with winning the first two National League Championship series games. Now manager Dave Roberts turns to Blake Snell to help save the 2026 season.
Roberts shined a light on what Snell’s mindset is ahead of this crucial Game 3 of the MLB Playoffs.
“He’s very mindful of not letting his guard down, coming in nibbling as opposed to being aggressive to match their intensity,” Roberts told reporters.

Snell posted a 4-1 record on the hill during the regular season, striking out 55 batters while allowing 31 hits. But he’s dealing with an impressive Brewers offense that’s handed a deep Dodgers pitching rotation fits.
Milwaukee smashed 12 total hits and scored seven runs to claim the Game 2 win. William Contreras blasted three hits including one home run. The likes of Brice Turang, Christian Yelich, Cooper Pratt and David Hamilton all delivered two hits.
Then the Brewers silenced the Dodgers’ bats after erasing their 4-3 deficit in Milwaukee. Los Angeles never scored a single run between the sixth to ninth innings. Los Angeles didn’t even pound a single hit during that span, not even from Shohei Ohtani (struck out once and hit a fly out) or Freddie Freeman (struck out swinging for his last at-bat attempt).
So the Dodgers must lean into more than just Snell’s left arm to get back into this series. Los Angeles needs its offense to return to form especially late in the contest at Chavez Ravine.
