UK volume sales of Adam And Eve totalled 27,900 in the week ending October 10, according to NielsenIQ BookData.
The novel is a historical fiction epic and romance spanning the period from the end of the First World War to the outbreak of the Second World War.
It revolves around the lives of two characters born hours apart into different social classes, whose lives become permanently entwined as they grow from academic rivals to close friends and eventually lovers.
The story also features an alternative twist on the history of the Second World War, with the actions and choices of protagonists Adam and Eve affecting Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler’s decisions and the fate of the nation.
