Oppo is reportedly developing a new wide-screen smartphone called the Reno X. Recent leaks suggest the device will feature a 120Hz display and two 200MP cameras. The phone is expected to join Oppo’s Reno mid-range lineup rather than its flagship Find series.
According to a tipster on X, the Reno X will feature a 6.35-inch flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is said to use either a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio. This design would give the phone a wider shape than most conventional smartphones.
The camera setup could also be a major highlight. The Reno X is tipped to feature a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Additionally, the device is expected to feature a metal frame.

The phone will reportedly use an unspecified MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series chipset. A previous leak also suggested that Oppo could equip the Reno X with a 7,000mAh battery, although the company has yet to confirm these details.
The Reno X follows a wider smartphone design trend recently highlighted by the Huawei Pura X View. However, the Huawei device features a 5:3 aspect ratio, which falls between the 16:9 and 16:10 formats reportedly being considered for Oppo’s phone.
Oppo has not officially announced the Reno X or confirmed its specifications. More details about its hardware, pricing, and launch timeline remain unknown.
