DAEJEON — Young adults will plan and produce new tourism content using the tourism assets of Yuseong District.
Yuseong District in Daejeon said on the 16th that it is recruiting "Yuseong Tourism Creators." The district plans to provide specialized training to about 50 young creators aged 19 to 39.
The program will run 10 sessions from November through December, covering an understanding of Yuseong tourism and local trends, tourism content planning and storytelling, local branding and digital marketing strategies, hands-on production of short-form videos and social media content, and the design and pitching of tourism projects.
Participants who complete the program will receive tailored mentoring. Five outstanding project teams, selected through a separate review after completion, will each receive up to 10 million won ($7,000) in demonstration funding to commercialize their work.
Priority will go to young residents of Yuseong District and to university and graduate students, but applications are open to aspiring and early-stage creators and local planners in the Daejeon area, as well as to any young adult nationwide with an interest in tourism, culture and branding or in creating content using Yuseong's tourism assets.
Applications are accepted through November 11 via the QR code on the program poster or by email.
Jung Yong-rae, head of Yuseong District, said, "I hope the fresh ideas and creative perspectives of young adults will serve as an opportunity to develop Yuseong's tourism assets into new content."
