John Mateer and the Oklahoma Sooners will visit Kamario Taylor and the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 8 of the 2026 college football season on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville.
The Sooners (3-3, 1-2 SEC) are coming off a turnover-filled 21-13 loss to Kentucky last Saturday in Norman.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs (4-2, 2-2) were blanked 31-0 by LSU as coach (and former Sooners OC) Jeff Lebby was without his starting quarterback. Taylor is listed as questionable for Saturday's game.

Kamario Taylor has answered the (cow) bell when healthy this season for the Bulldogs, passing for 1,450 yards with 17 touchdowns and four interceptions. Even if he returns from an apparent foot injury, Taylor figures to be a limited pocket passer against a Brent Venables defense that remains playoff caliber.
