The Kaduna state Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, has urged residents of communities along the Eastern Bypass, Rido and parts of Igabi local government area to provide timely information to security agencies to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities.
Rabiu made the appeal during a security patrol Tuesday when he led members of the command’s management team through the Eastern Bypass, Rido Village, Maraban Rido, Unguwan Luka and Izam community in Igabi LGA.
The patrol, the police said, was aimed at assessing the security situation, identifying concerns raised by residents and strengthening police-community relations.
During a meeting with the traditional ruler and residents of Maraban Rido, community members presented their complaints and security concerns to the commissioner.
Rabiu urged traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups and residents to cooperate with the police by promptly reporting suspicious persons and movements that could threaten the safety of their communities.
