MELAKA: Barisan Nasional's list of candidates to contest the Melaka state election will be announced on Oct 28, said state BN chief Ab Rauf Yusoh.
He said the candidates would shoulder a heavy responsibility to ensure the party's victory and extend its mandate from the people.
Ab Rauf made the announcement of the date at the launch of the BN election machinery for theTangga Batu parliamentary constituency tonight.
The Election Commission has set polling day on Nov 14. Nomination day is set for Oct 31 and early voting on Nov 10.
In the 2021 state election, BN won 21 of the 28 seats, while Pakatan Harapan won five seats and Perikatan Nasional two seats.
