The New England Patriots have a revolving door at wide receiver.
A.J. Brown was injured in Week 1 and added to IR. He was activated this past weekend and made his return in the team’s win over the Jets. Unfortunately for New England, Romeo Doubs left with a shoulder injury.
Doubs was forced to miss the rest of the game after the injury, and the Patriots have added him to injured reserve. This means that the wideout will miss New England’s next four games and will be eligible to return at the start of Week 11, after the Patriots play the Detroit Lions in Munich.
The New England wide receiver appeared to suffer the injury while making an impressive touchdown grab. Drake Maye launched the ball to the end zone, and Doubs made a diving snag for the score.

Awkwardly, after the play, Doubs’ teammates came over to celebrate with him. One of them acted like they were giving him CPR while the wide receiver was stretching his arm or shoulder. It turned out that he was hurt, but Brown and DeMario Douglas were just trying to support their teammate and didn’t know how bad the injury was.
Doubs currently leads the team in receiving yards. He has 261 yards and three touchdowns on 14 receptions.
Doubs isn’t the only wide receiver on New England's IR. The team placed Mack Hollins on injured reserve on October 10 with a calf injury.
With Doubs and Hollins sidelined, A.J. Brown, DeMario “Pop” Douglas, and Efton Chism will lead New England's wide receiver corps.
